Understanding the Brine Type Block Ice Machine Operation

As illustrated, when the compressor unit (11) initiates, refrigerant flows into the coil evaporator (08) and starts evaporating.The brine water in the brine tank (09) is circulated by the agitator (05), then flowsthrough the coil evaporator (08).
Once the water temperature drops, it contacts the outer surface of the ice cans (06) and absorbs heat from the water inside the ice cans.Consequently, all water in the ice cans freezes until it reaches the freezing point.The cooled water, after heat exchange, is circulated back to the coil evaporator by the agitator, forming a brine water loop.In due time, all water in the ice cans will solidify into block ice.The crane (07) moves along the guiding rail (10) to hoist a row of ice cans (06)into the ice thaw tank (04). The ambient temperature water in the thaw tank melts the outer surface of the ice can, allowing the ice to separate smoothly.
The compressor unit (11) manages brine tank temperature via an electronic control box (12). It activates when the temperature rises and deactivates once the desired temperature is achieved.
